This place is built on organized chaos, in the aspect that everything is CHAOS, but everyone knows where they are going and what they are doing! The thing that surprised me the most was how genuinely nice everyone was. Anyone, from the corner street vendors to hostel staff were amazingly nice and helpful with anywhere I wanted to go.
The old quarter of Hanoi was a great adventure, where coffee was wonderful and the nightlife was always going. Both egg coffee and coconut coffee are the best and I am extremely spoiled by them right now. And all the street names are based on what is sold on that street, which is convenient if you know the words in Vietnamese. One thing that is hard about Hanoi is the general pollution, and main surrounding lake being filled with dead fish. Kind of makes the appeal of walking around not so high.
