Hoi An is breathtaking... situated on the ocean, a quaint little town with enthusiastic people and relaxing vibes. This could have just been the timing with TET being celebrated and lots of people closing their shops to spend time with family, so lots of places were never open during my stay here.
First, TET (Vietnamese New Year) was so much fun, full of celebrations, color, and a lot of fireworks. Drinks and taxis were super expensive though, but Paddy's Hostel had a big traditional dinner celebration that was to die for!
Speaking of the hostel, if was filled with amazing people and plenty of Irish people as to be expected. A big group of girls spent a lot of time roaming the city, sitting on the beach, going out to dinner, and then doing a TOP GEAR TOUR! This was amazing, where I got to have my own bike and follow a small group from Hoi An towards Hue, with the most beautiful picturesque landscape I have ever seen. The tour was well worth it, going to: tunnels, rock shops, female buddha, a secret waterfall and a lookout of the bay!
The only downside of this was that I had to rush my bike back in time to get a night bus, and it is just like me to get lost for almost 2 hours biking around and make it right on time to get to the bus station, with the maximum stress possible I am sure!
I am grateful everyday here that I bought a sim card and DATA here!!!
